At Atlas Mountains Morocco, we believe that a great adventure begins with clear communication and transparent arrangements. These Booking Terms & Conditions explain how to confirm your reservation, make payments, modify your booking and understand our cancellation policy.
Please read these terms carefully before confirming your trekking experience, Mount Toubkal ascent, Berber village walk or private transfer arrangements with us.
01 Booking Confirmation
Once we have designed a trip that matches your requirements, we will send you a booking confirmation and invoice.
To secure your reservation, a deposit of 40% of the total trekking cost per person is required at the time of confirmation.
Your booking will be considered secured once the required deposit has been received. Upon receipt, your places on the expedition, private mountain guides, mule teams, and mountain refuge reservations will be formally locked in our schedule.
02 Payment Methods
Your deposit can be paid securely online through our payment partner, WeTravel.
The remaining balance can be settled by bank transfer or online payment no later than seven days before the activity. Alternatively, you may pay the outstanding amount in cash upon arrival.
03 Outstanding Balance and Receipts
Once we have received your completed booking form and deposit, we will issue an invoice together with a receipt confirming the amount paid.
The remaining 60% balance must be paid no later than seven days before the activity, either by bank transfer or online payment. Payment in cash upon arrival is also accepted.
Cash payments upon arrival can be settled in Moroccan Dirhams (MAD), Euros (€), or British Pounds (£) calculated at the official market exchange rate on the day of payment.
04 Cancellation or Modification by Atlas Mountains Morocco
Atlas Mountains Morocco reserves the right to cancel or modify an activity when necessary due to adverse weather conditions, safety concerns or other unforeseen circumstances.
The final decision regarding the safety and suitability of conditions rests with our team and our licensed mountain leaders.
In the rare event that adjustments are required, the following conditions apply:
- If an activity is cancelled, we will first endeavour to arrange an alternative date or suitable alternative itinerary.
- If rescheduling is not possible or is not accepted by the client, a 50% refund will be issued.
- If an activity cannot proceed due to continuing adverse weather conditions, a 50% refund applies unless otherwise stated.
- If we are unable to provide the activity for any other reason, a full refund will be issued.
05 Client Cancellation Policy
Clients may cancel their booking at any time. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email to [email protected].
The cancellation date will be the date on which written notice is received at our office. The person who originally made the reservation must submit the cancellation request on behalf of the booking party.
The following cancellation charges apply based on notice given:
| Cancellation Notice Period | Cancellation Charge |
|---|---|
| More than 1 month before the activity | No charge – full deposit refunded |
| Between 1 month and 2 weeks | 50% of the deposit |
| Between 2 weeks and 1 week | 100% of the deposit |
| Between 1 week and 48 hours | 50% of the total tour price |
| Less than 48 hours or no-show | 100% of the total tour price |
06 Changes to Your Booking
If you wish to modify your travel arrangements after receiving your confirmation invoice, such as changing your departure date, adjusting your trekking route, or altering accommodation preferences, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will do our best to accommodate your requested changes, although this may not always be possible due to seasonal guide availability, mountain refuge capacities, and transport scheduling.
07 Travel Insurance
Atlas Mountains Morocco does not accept responsibility for personal losses, injuries or delays arising during trips where such responsibility is not legally attributable to the company.
Every client is responsible for arranging suitable travel insurance covering the entire duration of their trip.
Your insurance policy should include, at a minimum:
- Medical expenses and emergency hospital treatment.
- Accidental injury and death.
- Emergency mountain evacuation (including helicopter rescue where required) and repatriation.
- Trip cancellation and curtailment.
- Loss, damage, or delay of baggage and personal mountain equipment.
- Loss of personal money and valuables.
- Personal liability.
Please ensure your policy explicitly covers high-altitude trekking and hiking up to 4,167 metres (for Mount Toubkal ascents) without altitude exclusion clauses that would invalidate your protection.

We make every effort to ensure that the information published on our website is accurate, transparent and representative of the services we provide.
If you identify any missing, outdated or inaccurate information regarding itineraries, inclusions, route durations, or transfer schedules, please contact us so that we can review and correct it promptly.

We organise our trips with care and attention and select our local partners based on experience and reliability.
If you experience a serious problem during your trip, please notify us immediately by email and no later than 28 days after completing the tour.
Your complaint should include:
- A brief description of the issue.

10 Liability
We take reasonable steps to ensure that our services are organised responsibly and delivered to an acceptable professional standard.
Atlas Mountains Morocco is not responsible for the failure or negligence of independent third-party providers, including airlines, flight operators, accommodation providers, hotel owners and ground agents, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where the company is legally found liable under the applicable contractual terms, its liability shall be limited to the maximum price of the holiday, excluding flights, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
